I am an ambitious twenty-something, addicted to a good laugh, writing, and one cup of coffee a day. I l-o-v-e writing, but have been so lazy and unmotivated, partly due to a crazy job in advertising I recently ditched for a more work/life balanced career in PR. Trust me it makes sense. When I am not filling my head with PR lingo, tactics, and techniques, I am relaxing and growing old with my best friends (love to memau) and my one and only, Ryan. He makes me blueberry pancakes on Saturdays and willingly does the laundry, all while making me laugh. He has the best intuition and outlook– hardest worker I know. Not too mention he embraces my quirks: the “come on lets go” on Saturday mornings and my unhealthy obsession with tomatoes. He is the pine to my apple. The pepper to my roni. And the love of my life.
I am also proudly one of four girls– yup three sisters (Meg, Sarah, and Christina). Each of them is my best friend in a unique and different way. All of them have something I want– Meg’s nose and big brain, Sarah’s unwavering positiveness and patience, and Christina’s carefree outlook and yoga expertise. And I am sure they all would like a part of me– after all I am my Mom’s favorite (ha! had to put that in writing). Yes– all girls. The best girls. Just please don’t say, “Your poor father.” For some reason, that phrase, which I have heard day in an day out for most of my life, just irks me.
I have the world’s most fabulous and strongest Mom. She’ll do back flips with her eyes closed in molten lava if you want her to. Challenge her I dare you? She never ceases to amaze me– a mighty force. She gives the world’s best advice and always reminds me to continue finding the humor in life. She lives each day to the freshest– not dwelling in the past, but rather embracing, whole-heartily, the future.
Oh and how can I forget, my biggest inspiration– Boma. My grandmother. She passed away two years ago. I wish I could put into words her power and greatness– the way she could make everything better with homemade hot chocolate and one of her witty poems. She is my motivation to keep writing and source for strength.
I hope this blog will help me re-discover my passion for writing while allowing me to figure out how to make the most of this one life.
Let the inspiration begin…

Dear diary is only one form of blogging. There are many other varieties. I do not know exactly what type/category is mine. It doesn’t matter. That is just the point of blogging, enjoying the freedom to do whatever you like with your own blank page…
